Are there any better and cheaper options comparable to a raspberry pi 4? I wanted to know what SBC I could buy that would work for this project? Would a Raspberry pi 3 suffice for both cameras? I feel like it can stomach somewhere around $60 for the pi if i need to. Unfortunately, I don't have a pi anything and the market for one is incredibly inflated. A lot of people who did similar projects used raspberry pi 4's like this one: Since a MCU can't do video like a SBC can, I can't exactly use a teensy for both the thermal camera and pi cam. I wanted to fuse the projects into two by having the thermal camera input and a raspberry pi camera v1.3 input be overlayed each other so that a display would show video of both. I also had seen this project on hackaday that used a raspberry pi zero to make a cool tiny microscope. I saw this project for a thermal camera using the MLX90640 camera and using a teensy 4.0 microcontroller. I have not purchased anything yet and I don't have any potential materials for my project at the moment. I wanted it to be a cheap alternative to a FLIR camera, preferably under $200 in total. Hey, I'm making a thermal camera project for school and i need help determining what hardware to purchase to do it.
